Lunarpages Overview:

Until recently they were solely a "basic package" shared hosting provider, but in the last few years have added a variety of options for webmasters to choose from. Along with super-strong service and near-flawless stability, this is LunarPages' greatest strength: their exceptional suite of services built to suit the needs of every webmaster. Theu offer the basic shared plan, a "business" plan that ups the basic shared wiith more domains and removes the limit on a few features. Then there's Windows hosting, and both Windows and Linux Virtual Private Servers starting at very reasonable prices. And to comepete with Yahoo's hands-on services, they offer the LPQuicksite service, which will do everything for you (from set-up to monthly maintenance) for $12.95/mo.

Lunarpages Value:

At $6.95/month for their basic package, $9.95 for Windows hosting, and dedicated servers starting at $99/mo. Lunarpages offers generous hosting packages at competetive prices. Their basic package is a bit extraordinary among the other top hosts we have listed here in that they offer both unlimited emails and addon domains. Their Windows hosting stands out as a great deal as well, especially compared to Network Solutions' $35/mo (!) and their dedicated servers at $99/mo. are a steal. I don't think you can find a lower price out there.

Lunarpages Service:

Lunarpages offers 24/7 email and phone customer support with a knowledgeable, articulate, enthusiastic, and friendly staff. Response times over email average 30 minutes and phone holds average 5 minutes. Nothing fantastic, but nothing much to complain about either. I set up an account with them in late 2005 and have had several occasionst to call them with this or that need. I've been very happy with the support responses. The phone hold times are low and ther support staff answer enthusiastically and with a good basic technical knowledge of their products' in-and-outs.

Lunarpages Reliability:

LunarPages' servers are located in three west coast facilities, OneWilshire in Los Angeles, Riverside CA, and Marquisnet in Las Vegas. They don't make a big deal over their uptime gurantee like alot of other hosts do, but in the two years that I've been with them my site has never been down, which, in my mind, speaks a lot louder than any guarantee. LuunarPages is as secure and reliable a host as they come.
