HostMonster Value: 9.4  Not a bad deal, nor is it very great.  $7.95 for 2.5 Gigs of storage,  65 Gigs of transfer, and unlimited emails.  2 free months definitely sweetens the deal.   Unlimited email accounts can never be bad!

Host Monster Reliability: 8.8  HostMonster has an impressive 99.9% uptime guarantee with UPS and generator backup, state-of-the-art security and disaster protection.  However, their data centers are located in downtown Chicago and Phoenix.  While two centers strategically located in dense network hubs is a strong suit, we don't like the fact that they aren't in the same building or very close at hand.
